Michael Charron is a conceptual realist whose work is deeply rooted in seeking,  both internally and externally. Historically, art of enduring quality has proven to be that which reflects the values of the culture from which it comes. The values Charron chooses to explore are the crisis of meaning, particularly in the Western World, and the need for spiritual awakening, both personal and societal. Charron's artistic ways of expressing this "awakening” include: the beauty and complexity of the natural world, illustrated and cursively written spiritual musings concealed beneath his landscape paintings, and his mystically informed, assemblages. Through his work, Charron explores Divinity from researched and empirical modalities. A postulate of Charron's is that it may be that Divinity is exploring through him.
